Capital murder charges have been filed against a Wichita man for Tuesday’s shooting deaths of two people at a home in the Riverside neighborhood.
62-year-old Charles Crawford is being held on a bond of $2 million and his next court appearance was scheduled for August 14th.
Crawford was arrested after a two-hour standoff with police in the area of 11th and Woodrow. Police found the bodies of two people in a home at that location, and they were identified as 58-year-old Donald Eckert and 50-year-old Vanessa Crawford.
No information has been released on a motive for the killings.
