Nutcracker in a Nutshell…a shorter version the classic Nutcracker story with NEW children’s ticket pricing…creating the perfect holiday outing for families of all ages!

Louisville, KY – Join Clara and the Nutcracker Prince as they battle the Rat Queen and travel to The Land of the Sweets in the holiday classic Nutcracker in a Nutshell. Designed to delight audiences of all ages, Nutcracker in a Nutshell is a shorter, family-friendly version of the traditional Nutcracker ballet. INTRODUCING reduced ticket pricing of $12.50 for those 18 years old and under…making this magical performance a perfect way to celebrate the holidays as a family.

MAGIC Company Dance, the area’s premier youth, pre-professional dance company, will perform Nutcracker in a Nutshell at the magnificent Louisville Palace Theater on December 5, 2015. The ballet has something for everyone…a delightful party scene, a suspenseful battle between mice and soldiers and the wonderful fantasy of the Land of Sweets.

Debuting new choreography and staging for 2015, Nutcracker in a Nutshell brings the classic Nutcracker story to life in a refreshing, new way. For the third year, Nutcracker in a Nutshell will be featuring principal dancers from Kate Simmons Dance, Ltd in Warrington, UK. Previous principal dancers have won Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competitions and gone on to dance professionally. We are thrilled to feature KS Dance students as our Sugar Plum Fairy and Nutcracker Prince again this year.

Nutcracker in a Nutshell performances are Saturday, December 5th at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Ticket prices for the production are $20.00 for adults and $12.50 for children/teens (age 18 & under). MAGIC, Inc. is a non-profit Pre-Professional Dance Company designed to develop, expand and promote dance education and performance opportunities for children in our community. It is the vision for MAGIC, Inc. to educate while entertaining our growing community. MAGIC is comprised of dancers age three to eighteen.
